Study in Finland

According to the World Happiness Report, Finland is the happiest country, they topped the happiness chart consecutively for two years in 2018 & 2019. 

Among the Scandinavian and Baltic  countries, the picturesque Finland has already  opened its borders for higher education in STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics ) for international Students. Since, 2015 there has been a steady increase of Indian students who have applied for Masters and Doctoral programs at the 12 plus Universities of Finland.

The Charge d Affairs of the Embassy of Finland in India says Indian students mostly opt to study  Biotechnology and Artificial Intelligence and most of the students go to Aalto University at Helsinki, University of Turku, University of Tampere, Tampere University of Technology. These Universities have a friendly and candidk relationship with students and the faculty students ratio is 20:1. 

Moreover, 12 Finnish Universities are collaborating with 10 IITs in India for combined academic research and student exchange program. The popular Aalto University has signed an MoU with IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras in 2014. 

Even though there is a criticism that Finland does not offer quality education at par with their European Neighbours the Embassy spokesperson refutes it and confirrm that their Aalto University is ranked 250 on a general scale. 

English is spoken widely in Finland, even beyond the Metro limits making it easy for international students who come mostly from China, India, Africa and other EU countries.
